So it begins again …
Two Months, 2 MONTHS. 2 months from today the new show will be revealed. So many things to still do, and even more to go after that. It feels kind of strange to be sitting here in the studio typing this, while working on this webpage. It doesn’t seem like it has been 6 years since I made the decision to pull the plug on The Vault of Metal, for the last time.
At that time, the show was being heard live around the world in 183 countries and over 3 million people a week! The series of events that lead to it, well … depending on how things go with the reveal maybe in the Members section I will do something that starts to tell the history of the show as it ran 2004 to 2011, then again in 2015 & 2016. So many amazing guests, crazy times, and adventures! So it would be an interesting Vlog.
Now, however we return to my other show - The Ravens’ Edge Radio Show. One I created back at the start of 2014. This show was a talk show, in the best sense anyways. “This is what happens when you give a metal DJ a talk show.” was my tag line. Variety talk show, with a wider range of guests and topics. Music to Celebrity Chefs! Along with my Co Host at the time “Bodyguard Drew” - we went down quite a few rabbit holes and came back laughing for it.
So if you’re reading this, then you’ve already figured out that now I am tossing my hat into the Podcasting world. One I literally SWORE 6 years ago I would never venture into, as I was DONE WITH online media. Creating it, talking about it, and wasting time on it.
Go figure huh?
Jump ahead to 2019 and the Pandemic, and of course all that extra down time. And I got bit by the bug. I missed it. What did I miss? Who knows really. I just wanted to do it again. So I took ideas I have had for years, spent the lockdown doing my research into the Podcasting world. Then came the idea.
I left social media in 2017, tired of the constant bickering among people over every little thing. No fanfare, no warning, just went …. away. Then a new phone, with apps installed I did what most do. I peeked. Pandora’s Box ripped wide. And it was worse than when I left …..
So now I want to do something different. Something Positive. Something Fun. Something my nearly 90 year old mother could watch. And still remaining who I wanted to be.
More to come …..
